startup and winterization
Your gorgeous lawn - we promise!
We properly winterize your irrigation system by blowing out lines and protecting components to prevent freeze damage.
and We start up and inspect your irrigation system in the spring, checking for leaks, adjusting heads, and ensuring proper coverage.
What does it involve?
Irrigation startup involves turning the system back on for the season, checking the controller settings, opening the main water supply, and testing each zone to make sure sprinkler heads, valves, and pressure are working correctly. Winterization involves shutting the system down before freezing weather by turning off the water, draining the lines, and blowing out remaining water with an air compressor to prevent pipes and sprinkler parts from cracking or bursting in winter.
How does it work?
Winterization works by protecting the irrigation system from freezing temperatures. First, the main water supply is shut off, then the system is drained and cleared of any remaining water. An air compressor is often used to blow water out of underground pipes and sprinkler zones, preventing pressure buildup from ice. Finally, valves and backflow devices are secured to ensure no water stays trapped, keeping pipes and components safe until spring.
